Problem Note 59876: "CLI prepare error: More than one active statements is not yet supported on the same connection" occurs when you use SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Netezza

You might encounter the following error when using the SQL procedure in SAS/ACCESS Interface to Netezza:
ERROR: CLI prepare error: More than one active statements is not yet supported on the same connection
This error occurs under the following conditions:
- You assign two librefs to Netezza in the Netezza LIBNAME statement.
- Both librefs specify CONNECTION=GLOBAL.
- You are trying to create a PROC SQL join between two Netezza tables and a Work table.
Here is an example using a Work data set to illustrate this issue:
libname nzdb netezza server=nz-server database=nz-db user=user-ID password=nz-password schema=nz-schema connection=global;
libname nztemp netezza server=nz-server database=nz-db user=user-ID password=nz-password dbmstemp=yes connection=global;
proc sql;
create table work.c as
(
select a.model,b.count
from nzdb.sas_testcars a, nzdb.sas_failure b, work.cars c
where a.cylinders = b.count
and a.model=c.model
);
quit;
libname nztemp netezza server=nz-server database=nz-db user=user-ID password=nz-password dbmstemp=yes connection=global;
